Vietnam has reaffirmed its dedication to advancing the sustainable development of the Halal industry, anchored in respect for cultural values and peaceful coexistence. The country’s focus on inclusivity and harmony aims to showcase its role in building a peaceful, diverse, and cooperative global landscape.
At a recent conference, both domestic and international delegates praised Vietnam’s strategic approach to the global Halal market, highlighting the nation’s unique potential and readiness for active participation in this sector.
Mohamed Jinna, Chairman of Halal India, commented on Vietnam’s ‘bright future’ as it opens its markets to the expanding global Halal industry. He emphasized that certification will be a pivotal entry point for Vietnam, unlocking opportunities across various fields, including food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, fashion, and tourism.
Ihsan Ovut, Secretary General of the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), commended Vietnam’s dynamic economic growth and its prospects in developing Halal segments within tourism, food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.
Adding to this perspective, Moteb Al-Mezani, Chairman of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Accreditation Centre (GAC), noted that Vietnam’s Halal development strategy aligns well with Gulf countries’ interests, signaling strong potential for collaborative relations.
The conference emphasized Vietnam’s readiness to engage globally, leveraging both ‘internal resources’ from domestic potential and ‘external strengths’ through effective international partnerships. This collaborative strategy aims to establish a comprehensive and sustainable Halal ecosystem, positioning Vietnam as a significant player on the global Halal map.
