Pakistan and Denmark have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations, with a focus on trade and investment. In a phone call on Saturday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Denmark’s Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen explored avenues for enhancing economic collaboration and strengthening their long-standing ties.
Both leaders emphasised the need to accelerate trade and investment through public-private partnerships. As non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for 2025 and 2026, they also pledged to cooperate on multilateral platforms to advance shared interests, peace, and sustainable development.

Pakistan-Italy Relations on a Positive Trajectory
Meanwhile, Pakistan and Italy expressed satisfaction over their growing bilateral relations during talks held in Rome on Saturday. Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch led the Pakistani delegation, while Secretary General Riccardo Guariglia represented Italy.
The discussions highlighted the increasing trade between the two nations and identified opportunities to expand cooperation in economy, development, agriculture, defence, higher education, and people-to-people exchanges. Both sides also reviewed the outcomes of the Bilateral Consular Consultations held on January 30 in Islamabad and acknowledged their shared perspectives on regional and global matters, along with their close coordination within the UN.

During the meeting, Baloch delivered a formal invitation from Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to his Italian counterpart for the second ministerial review of the Pakistan-Italy Strategic Engagement Plan in Islamabad this year. It was also agreed that the seventh session of the dialogue would be held in Pakistan next year.
