Chijet Motor Company, Inc. announced today a significant step towards the global expansion of its subsidiary, FAW Jilin Automobile Co., Ltd., marking a new chapter in China-Peru trade relations.
The company reported the successful completion of its first-ever shipment of automobiles to Peru, utilizing its newly-established export operation based at Tianjin Port, China. This milestone not only signifies the inauguration of FAW Jilin’s self-operated export operation but also the dawn of a new stage in the firm’s international marketing strategy, further solidifying its commitment to enhancing China-Peru trade.
FAW Jilin, a majority-owned subsidiary of Chijet, previously relied on China FAW Co Ltd., its minority shareholder, to handle its overseas trade activities. But the rapidly evolving domestic market, marked by intensified price competition in 2023, drove FAW Jilin to pivot, forming its own export team and overseas market in tandem with FAW Group’s import and export company.
This innovative approach saw FAW Jilin launch a dual-channel export model, leveraging both the robust infrastructure of FAW Group’s existing export channel and its newly-developed export operation. This pioneering move, strongly supported by the FAW Group, represents a quantum leap in FAW Jilin’s approach to the global market.
In an initial demonstration of the dual-channel model’s efficacy, FAW Jilin’s independent export operation team secured its first-ever order from Peru, a significant achievement signaling the company’s growing global reach. The order, successfully delivered through the strategically-placed Tianjin Port in early July 2023, affirmed the successful execution of FAW Jilin’s self-managed export operations, marking the formal debut of its second overseas marketing channel.
Over the past few years, FAW Jilin has celebrated a series of notable achievements, all while under the Chijet umbrella. These include significant progress in product R&D, the integration of cutting-edge technologies, and a continual broadening of its footprint in both domestic and international markets.
The adoption of the dual-channel export model promises to fast-track FAW Jilin’s growth trajectory by stimulating the anticipation of a surge in future export orders and enhancing its international standing. The company’s significant milestone, embodied in its first shipment to Peru, underscores FAW Jilin’s commitment to bolstering its global market share, illustrating the organization’s readiness to adapt and expand in the face of emerging opportunities and challenges.
