Royal Fans, a Pakistani fan manufacturer from Gujrat, is showcasing its products at the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai. This debut at the expo highlights Pakistan’s growing manufacturing potential on an international stage, as the company displays a range of ceiling, pedestal, and bracket fans made from wood, metal, and plastic.
Yasir Waseem Arshard, Export Marketing Manager at Royal Home Appliances, emphasized that the CIIE provides a valuable opportunity to connect with global markets, particularly in China, and gain insights from industry peers. The expo’s consumer goods section spans over 80,000 square meters, hosting more than 700 companies from over 70 countries.
Arshard is optimistic about gaining new export customers in China and beyond, noting that China’s initiatives to attract foreign businesses and promote trade offer a favorable environment for Pakistani exporters. “Currently, I see a huge potential for Pakistani home appliance manufacturers to enter the Chinese market and supply our products locally, as China shifts its focus from these products to higher-value items,” he said. Currently, Royal Fans exports to markets including Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Afghanistan, Europe, and the UK.
Royal Home Appliances sets itself apart with in-house production for 95% of its products, ensuring strict quality control and competitive pricing. According to the Pakistan Electric Fans Manufacturers Association (PEFMA), Gujrat and Gujranwala account for 98% of Pakistan’s fan production, creating an efficient manufacturing cluster that supports cost-saving and knowledge-sharing.
Pakistan’s fan industry, with around 300 manufacturing units, is crucial to socio-economic development, providing employment and supporting the supply chain. In 2020, fan exports contributed around $27.59 million, tapping into a global market valued at $3.8 billion.
Arshard concluded, “The CIIE provided a valuable platform for us to showcase our products and explore new markets, contributing to Pakistan’s efforts to increase its global footprint in the fan industry,” Through this event, Royal Fans aims to strengthen Pakistan’s position in international markets and boost export growth.
