Beijing, CHINA: The global business community eagerly anticipates the inaugural China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), slated to take place in Beijing from November 28 to December 2, 2023. Organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), this monumental event promises a dynamic blend of networking, innovation, and knowledge sharing, bringing together the world’s leading players in various industries.
China, through the CISCE, seeks to create a crucial global platform for businesses to strengthen ties, spark conversations and foster cooperation in a post-pandemic world. This first-of-its-kind event is structured around the theme “Connecting the World for a Shared Future,” reflecting the interconnectedness of supply chains and the significance of collaborative strategies.
“The unique format of CISCE – chain-themed and deeply rooted in an ecology and scenario-based style – promises a compelling and productive experience,” stated Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT. CISCE aims to break the mold of traditional expos by facilitating integrative connections that span upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, involving organizations of all sizes and fostering synergies between Chinese and international enterprises.
The Expo will occupy a sprawling 100,000 square meters of exhibition space. It will primarily highlight five major supply chains, namely, smart vehicles, green agriculture, clean energy, digital technology, and healthy lifestyles. A dedicated exhibition area for modern logistics further underscores the Expo’s broad appeal. The program includes the opening ceremony, the Global Supply Chain Innovation and Development Summit, themed sub-forums, alongside supplemental activities like supply-demand matchmaking ceremonies, industrial seminars, and product launches.
A testament to the Expo’s growing buzz, a robust array of Chinese and international enterprises, including Fortune Global 500 companies, Specialized and Sophisticated, Little Giant, and Hidden Champion firms, have already pledged their participation. Anticipation builds as over 300 companies are expected to exhibit, with international exhibitors making up approximately 30% of the total. Attendance figures are projected to exceed 100,000, with international attendees representing more than 40% and hailing from over 50 countries and regions.
As part of its international outreach strategy, the CCPIT has been hosting CISCE roadshows in Germany, Belgium, and Switzerland, with upcoming events planned in France, Saudi Arabia, and beyond. These roadshows serve to enhance global visibility and increase international participation, reinforcing CISCE’s mission to promote global connections and shared prosperity.
CISCE’s unique positioning as a comprehensive supply chain platform offers a wealth of opportunities for global businesses. As the world looks to navigate the complex post-pandemic landscape, the event provides an excellent stage to showcase innovative solutions, foster business partnerships, and chart the course for a sustainable, shared future.
